A Billing Clerk is primarily responsible for generating invoices, serving the invoices by any means, generating purchase orders and drafting credit memos. The Billing Clerk will monitor revenue streams and overhead cost. Having a detail-oriented personality will ensure success, experience in accounts payable or receiving required.

PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE

The Billing Clerk is crucial in our Finance department, managing billing processes and customer accounts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in financial calculations. This role involves generating invoices, updating customer information, and resolving billing inquiries to ensure accurate and timely billing for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Account Balances of Client Accounts
  • Maintaining records of assets.
  • Follow up on Outstanding Debt collection
  • Updating accounts payable and records in the Accounting System.
  • Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates, etc.)
  • Assisting in Accounting statements.
  • Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill
  • Assisting with reviewing expenses.
  • Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
  • Preparing regular reports.
  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information, etc.
  • Assisting with other accounting-related duties.
  • Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills
  • Report inconsistencies
  • Receive payments through various methods (cash, online payments, etc.) and check for credibility
  • Resend the invoices
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of proven experience as a billing expert or general accounting
  • High school diploma required; further education will be a plus
  • Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
  • Very good organizational abilities.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent math ability
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Odoo, Quickbooks) will be appreciated
  • Excellent communication skills
