Fiber technology, or fiber optics, transmits information via light pulses through glass or plastic fibers. It offers high-speed, reliable Internet with low latency, high throughput, and greater sustainability than traditional copper or cable networks.

Fiber internet brings fast internet to your home through special cables. Wi-Fi lets you use this internet wirelessly on devices like smartphones and laptops, which connect to a Wi-Fi router without needing cables.

Fiber technology offers faster speeds, lower latency, greater bandwidth, longer distance transmission, better reliability, future-proof capabilities, and higher sustainability compared to copper cable.

Download speeds refer to the rate at which data is transferred from the internet to your device, while upload speeds indicate the rate at which data is sent from your device to the internet.

Whilst the free to use router offered with the internet service does have Wi-Fi coverage, this might not be sufficient to cover your entire home. In order to ensure better coverage, we recommend purchasing our Wi-Fi range extender devices. Wi-Fi range extenders are devices that boost and expand the coverage of your existing Wi-Fi network, helping to eliminate dead zones and improve connectivity throughout your home.

Take a look at our speedtest tool which will test your existing home internet link and make a recommendation of packages to consider. To note: our speedtest looks at the current connection that you are using. Other considerations which you should take into account are: 1) what you are planning to use the Internet Service for. 2) how many people in your household will be making use of the service 3) how many devices you have which will be connected to your home.

We recommend making use of our free to use router which is offered to you at no additional cost, and which is part of the service. This would guarantee that you get your expected interest speed and the best possible support from our ZoomOnline Support team. We are unable to support Customer Owned equipment as there may be compatibility issues with our network equipment.

Current, our network can facilitate between 500Mbps – 10Gbps. Please see our website for a full list of internet packages. We also update our packages from time to time as we upgrade our network and this will allow us to offer higher internet packages.
